Can we still use crystals that are broken? If not, what should be the correct protocol of treatment?

Yes, I recently experienced some chipping of my DT and I didn't know how to react to that event. Most practitioners said that it's fine and it's 'bound to happen'.
Anyway, if our crystals experience some sort of damage, what measures or protocols are we suppose to take?

Depending on the extent of damage. The crystals still can function with slight chipping but if broken into pieces, these can't be used. Rest these crystals before burying them into the ground, sort of returning to where they came from.
Also pay attention & care to crystals that are lackluster - ie looking dull, not shiny, jaded look. It means we have overworked them and need to rest them. Wash under running tap water and then cover/wrap with cloth and keep aside. they need to take a breather & tender loving care too! when the colour returns, energise by putting under morning sun for a few hours before using/wearing them.
