Aligning to Source – A Lesson from plants

This morning I was looking at all the seedlings that I planted – sawi (mustard leaves), coriander, bayam, chili of different sorts, and even the local green lemon. You see, when I put them in the shade, the plants all grow towards where there is sunlight so eagerly even slanting the stems. It made me realise a couple of things:

1. Firstly, plants are aligning to The Source and they just need sunlight, some water and good soil. That’s all! They so easily align!
2. Secondly, no matter which seed sprouted first, the rest will continue to sprout – they don’t care about being first or last… no attachments like humans…
3. No matter how crowded (the sawi) or isolated (coriander), they strive to grow – fulfilling their destiny.

Whereas we humans at times choose to cultivate out of fear because many are doing it or for whatever reason. These beings don’t have fear or concern. They just align and let nature takes its course. So, why can’t we?

Plants

it's true, the most important aspect in gardening is the quality of the soil.  Once this is established, the genuine seeds will know what to do, looking for sunlight and clean air, doing what they do best.

Aligning to Source

The same power that upholds nature is working also in man. The same great Laws that guide alike the star and the atom control human life. The Laws that govern the heart's action, regulating the flow of the current of life to the body, are the Laws of the Highest Intelligence.  From Him all life proceeds.

Only in alignment with the Source can be found its true sphere of action. For all the objects of His creation the condition is the same, a life sustained by receiving and  exercised in harmony with His will. To transgress His Law--physical, mental, emotional  or spiritual--is to place oneself out of harmony with the universe, to introduce discord, anarchy, ruin.

The Word of the Creator presents mysteries that can never be fully comprehended by finite beings. In the natural world we are constantly surrounded with mysteries that we cannot fathom. The difficulty lies solely in the weakness and narrowness of the human mind.

We do not realize how much we lose through disbelief. Without faith we shall be engaged in a losing battle. We have a Creator who understands every phase of our life. He knows of our discouragements, and just what help we need. We want a faith in Him, a faith that works through correct expression of love. A faith that grows by conflicts with doubts and its virtue gathers strength by resistance to temptation.

Every doubt we expressed is a seed sown, and that seed will take root in some heart. One word of doubt, one word of impure thinking and speaking, makes room for more of the same kind.

The trial of our faith is much more precious than gold.... It makes us valiant to fight the battle of the Creator, for we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against foreign powers, against rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
